Dear Parents and Guardians of Pacific Cascade students,
Please plan to participate in Pacific Cascade’s Virtual Curriculum Night this Tuesday evening, 9/15. The purpose of this virtual event is for families to hear about each class’s learning community, learning expectations, and classroom systems from your student’s teachers. In order to allow for the most flexibility for our parent community, teachers will prepare and post a video to their Canvas Course Frontpage for families to access and review as their home schedule allows. Parents of multiple students will be able to view all course Curriculum Night videos instead of skipping some classes to attend others, like in the live version of this event. After watching the Curriculum Night videos, if parents have any questions for staff, email the teacher directly to set up a time to talk.
Teacher created Curriculum Night videos will be available on Canvas by 6:30 pm on Tuesday 9/15, and families can access the videos at their convenience. The Welcome to Curriculum Night video that will introduce Administrative staff and Counseling staff will be posted to the Pacific Cascade Website https://www.issaquah.wednet.edu/pacificcascadems by 6:30 pm on the evening of the 15th. On the evening of the 15th, please visit our school website https://www.issaquah.wednet.edu/pacificcascadems for the video introduction to the event and then log into Canvas (either as an observer or via your child’s account) to visit each of your student’s courses and see your course specific video by your child’s teacher. If you have questions after viewing, you can email your child’s teacher with your question or to set up a time to talk.
When you open the course on Curriculum Night, you will find the teacher video linked to that page. If you need help accessing Canvas, please go to the Canvas Support Page Canvas Information and Login - Issaquah which will provide instructions.
