Gibson Ek's Simone St. Pierre Nelson Continues Internship at National Center for Restorative Justice Alongside Classmates

Posted by Elizabeth Egan on 30 November, 2018

Since last year, sophomore Simone St. Pierre Nelson has been interning with the National Center for Restorative Justice, an organization that provides training for educators, juvenile justice, and families using a relational approach to conflict. Joined by freshman Ky Allaire and Megha Mishra this year, Simone facilitated a session on Restorative Justice and relationship building circles at the 6th Restorative Justice Forum at Green River Community College.

The National Center for Restorative Justice believes that “building a school culture that is inclusive and fosters belonging is the best way to achieve the academic outcomes we seek.” This year, Simone will continue her work alongside Ky and Megha as they continue training educators and students in Restorative Justice practices.
