Senior Surveys

As part of the senior checkout process, it is now time to complete your final High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) requirement by completing your Senior Surveys. This is your opportunity to let us know about your post high school plans (e.g., college, military, employment, gap year, apprenticeship, etc.) and any scholarships to be included in the graduation program. Survey completion is required in order to be cleared for graduation.

There are two required surveys:

  1. IHS Senior Post-HS Survey
  2. ISD Senior Exit Survey (after completing the IHS Senior Post-HS Survey, you will be automatically directed to the ISD Exit Survey)
The deadline for completing both surveys is Friday, May 6th by 4:00 PM. Note: We cannot include any scholarship information received after the due date.

  • Students may purchase the cords with the ASB Bookkeeper between May 20th and June 7th with cash, check, or card for $7 each. Students who had not successfully registered by the May deadline will not be able to purchase a cord. Please contact Ms. Connolly with any questions.

Club Cord

To be eligible students must have participated in the same eligible club for two years, earned a club letter for their participation in the club over the course of two school years, and complete registration by the May deadline. Students may only purchase one club cord, regardless of the number of clubs they participate in.

    2. Complete this google form no later than the May 3rd, 2019. Please note this form will not be live until April.

  • Students may purchase the cords with the ASB Bookkeeper between May 20th and June 7th with cash, check, or card for $7 each. Students who had not successfully registered by the May deadline will not be able to purchase a cord. Please contact Ms. Connolly with any questions.

School Extracurricular Medals

  • Students who have been awarded any medal representing Issaquah High School at the state level, may wear the medal at graduation. For example, DECA and sports medicine students who compete at state competitions, may wear the medal they earned.

**If a student has won multiple medals for the same extracurricular program they are limited to one medal per program.  For example a DECA student who has earned 3 medals at the State and National level DECA competitions over the course of their high school career may only wear one medal to represent their achievements in DECA.

  • ASB Stole
    • Honors students who enrolled in the 1st period ASB class their senior year and successfully met the requirements to receive this stole.
    • Same stole is awarded to students in the ASB class at Liberty and Skyline.

Graduation Ceremony Seating

After much deliberation, the Issaquah High School Graduation Committee has made the decision to move to alphabetical seating for this year’s graduation ceremony. We realize that there are strong feelings both for and against this decision, and while we tried to consider all views and opinions related to this matter, some of the most important motivating factors were:

  • Students shouldn’t be put into a situation at graduation, an event that is supposed to celebrate the achievement of all students, where they feel left out or excluded.
  • With alphabetical seating families will be able to anticipate when their graduate is walking across the stage.
  • Streamlining of the complications caused by last minute changes such as a student getting cleared to walk at graduation or choosing to not attend. This will help to limit empty seats within rows and awkward pauses in the ceremony.
We realize that no decision we made would be satisfying to all parties, but we feel strongly that this move will make graduation a better experience overall. Please direct any questions or concerns to Taneka Ogden, Dean of Students.
