Issaquah High Students Excel at HOSA Competition for Future Health Professionals

Over the weekend of March 10-11 Issaquah High students Julianna, Serena, Jason, and Allison competed at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Future Health Professionals state competition in Spokane, WA. Julianna placed 2nd for Medical Math, Serena and Jason placed 4th for Health Education, and Allison (not pictured) placed 3rd for pharmacology.
HOSA is a national career and technology student organization endorsed by the US Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA works to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people by providing unique programs in leadership development and motivation. HOSA recognizes exclusively secondary, post-secondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs, as well as students who have an interest in pursuing health professions.
